Lonja

Exclusive and beautiful 75m² private studios in the historic center of Valencia, surrounded by historical monuments with hundreds of years of history.

The Carmen neighborhood is named after the church and convent of Carmen. Although the offer of restaurants and bars is endless, this neighborhood is much more than that.

We are talking about the historic center of the city, with a thousand years of history and magnificent examples of medieval architecture, a rich artistic heritage and the origin of a good number of local legends.

The neighborhood preserves some of the city’s best museums and architectural gems. Right next to the MyCO Lonja building is the Lonja de la Seda (the city’s historic central silk exchange), a unique example of civil Gothic style and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, captivating for the spectacular helicoidal columns of its Sala de Contratación and the gargoyles and figures on its facades.

Another nearby point of interest is the Central Market. This spectacular market has 1200 stalls selling all kinds of food such as fish, seafood, fruits, spices, meats and sausages among others, both for domestic consumption and to supply important restaurants in Valencia. It is the largest fresh food market in Europe. Shopping in this place is loaded with great charm for the beauty of its architecture and the tradition and history of the market.

This neighborhood is also home to the only two gates of the original medieval wall that remain: the Serranos and Quart gates, which are a must-see in this unique area of Valencia.
